Behind every food bag packed, every donation sorted, and every successful event is a group of people who believe in the power of giving back.
At the Community Services Clearinghouse, our volunteers are an essential part of everything we do.
With a small staff serving families across seven counties in Arkansas and Oklahoma, we rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses, churches, schools, and community groups who are willing to give one of their most valuable resources: their time.
Throughout the year, volunteers help us prepare food bags for our Meals for Kids Backpack Program, assist with food drives, organize donations, support fundraising events, and help with special projects that keep our programs running.
Each task, no matter how big or small, plays a role in our mission to alleviate hunger.
During our 2026 Feed the Future event, more than 100 volunteers came together to support our Meals for Kids Backpack Program. From helping with event activities to writing encouraging notes for children, these volunteers demonstrated what can happen when a community works toward a common goal.
Volunteering at the Clearinghouse isn’t just about completing a task. It’s about becoming part of something bigger.
It’s knowing that the bag you packed may help feed a child over the weekend. It’s realizing that the food you helped organize may provide relief to a family facing an unexpected hardship. It’s seeing firsthand how a few hours of your time can make a meaningful difference.
We are incredibly grateful for the volunteers who continue to show up, lend a hand, and help us serve our community.
Want to make a difference? There’s a place for you at the Clearinghouse!
Whether you’re an individual looking to give back, a business planning a team volunteer day, or a group searching for a community service opportunity, we’d love to have you join us.
Because when we give a little of our time, we can make a big impact together.
